Avnet, an IT distributor, has expanded its SolutionsPath program with a new training curriculum designed to help reseller partners in the converging data center environment. The new Data Center University, available to partners in the U.S. and Canada, is designed to help partners develop products with interconnected data center specializations, such as those related to virtualization and cloud computing.
The Data Center University will feature a three-day educational program where partners will learn how to address the specific business needs of their customers across multiple technology and vertical markets. The three-day program will include technology specialization tracks along with growth opportunities related to the intersection of cloud computing, mobility, networking, security, storage, and virtualization. The first Data Center University will be held October 18-20, 2011, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Avnet will also offered tailored workshops, which are one-on-one training sessions to help partners address specific data center areas where they might have a skills gap. Avnet currently has over 30 different data center topics available, as well as vertically focused modules.
