Remote monitoring and management software developer LPI Level Platforms Inc. has updated its flagship product for MSPs with Managed Workplace 2011.
The latest iteration of Managed Workplace includes a suite of Remote Tools that enable MSPs to address issues regarding end-user systems in real time, without interrupting the use of those systems.
Also introduced in this release is a new plug-in Service Module architecture that extends the comprehensive Policy Module monitoring concept sets the stage for a new service innovation with deep integration with and control of third-party vendor packages. The first of these packages, Symantec Backup Exec, is available now.
Network Audits provide MSPs with keen insight into the state of a client’s or prospect’s network, including all devices and applications. This release includes a prepackaged set of easy-to-run reports that enables MSPs to clearly demonstrate their managed services offering.
Additionally, Managed Workplace 2011 R2 automates the collection of warranty information for Acer, Dell, Gateway, HP, Lenovo, and Toshiba products and provides warranty-driven alerting and reporting so users can address technology obsolescence risks proactively by either extending warranties or upgrading obsolete products.
Other new features include enhanced SNMP monitoring, new automation features to enable flexibility in script execution scenarios, and new power management.
“Managed Workplace 2011 R2 delivers a powerful mix of revenue generating service delivery features,” explains Level Platforms CEO Peter Sandiford. “The integration with Symantec Backup Exec establishes an entirely new class of capabilities for Remote Monitoring and Management Software, extending the concept of Management to include not only traditional problem remediation but also the deployment and management of all key technologies from a single web-based Managed Workplace dashboard.”
