ViewSonic has launched the ViewBook tablet line and a new ViewBook 730, building upon its existing tablet offerings. The ViewBook 730 is an Android 2.2 OS tablet with an ARM Cortex-A8 1GHz processor, equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support in a 7″ form.
The ViewBook 730 offers RiteTouch technology with a high-resolution 800×480 LED backlit screen for pen writing. The included stylus with RiteTouch enables note taking, highlighting excerpts in books, or working with the Sketcher app for art projects.
Features of the ViewBook 730 include:
- Fully integrated with Amazon Appstore, including Twitter, YouTube, and Kindle software
- 8 GB of memory, with additional 32 GB available via microSD card slot
- Battery life of up to eight hours of use per charge
- AirSync technology to get over-the-air device updates, including feature add-ons and software updates
With tablets permeating the business space, VARs and resellers can leverage products like these to help enable their customers’ business processes. The ViewBook 730 will be available at the end of June 2011 for $249.99.
