The distributor’s new ASAP offering includes an online portal that presents VARs with selling opportunities in their area based on service contract records in the database.
HP resellers have a new prospecting and selling tool at their disposal. Electronics distributor Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions (an affiliate of Arrow Electronics Inc.) has launched a new partner program called Arrow Sales Acceleration Portal, or ASAP.
ASAP helps HP resellers by recommending HP customers that could benefit from upgrades. The portal also provides a means for resellers to print a reseller-branded sales proposal for submission to the client.
ASAP works by evaluation the installed-base service contract records in its system. It then automatically presents selling opportunities based on that information. The proposal presents current costs and serial numbers for existing servers. It also includes comparative data illustrating the costs, power and cooling savings and performance improvements resulting from the proposed system replacements over a three-year period.
In addition, ASAP equips HP resellers with customer-, territory-, and product-specific data to assist with planning migration projects for potential and current clients.
†”We believe this portal is particularly useful because it assists resellers with generating an unsolicited bid proposal that is product-suite specific,” says Andy Bratton, vice president of the North American HP group for Arrow ECS, “with upgrade proposals respective to their customers’ products.”
