Enabling resellers to expand their business offerings, Atlanta-based Aretta Communications has established a white-label partner program: Partners buy from Aretta on a wholesale basis, and create branded IP-PBX solutions for their customers
According to Marc Fribush, president of Aretta Communications, the white-label program grew out of the company’s success with its hosted, Asterisk-based IP-PBX solution for SMBs, which combines NetSIP integrated SIP trunking and preconfigured VoIP handsets. Aretta’s open-source software solution surrounds the Linux operating system, virtualization, and the company’s Asterisk application.
The program is not just for IT resellers, however. “We are targeting a number of reseller clients, including outsourced IT providers, IP-PBX phone vendors and integrators, telecom agents, circuit resellers, and traditional TDM interconnects,” says Fribush, noting that the program provides “healthy profit margins” to partners.
All systems are hosted in the cloud, inside Aretta’s telco data centers in Atlanta, Chicago, and Las Vegas that are equipped with power backup and redundant Internet connectivity. Voice traffic originates and terminates via a network of tier-one telecom providers, including AT&T, XO, Verizon, Level3, and Qwest. No premise equipment is required other than VoIP handsets, and there are also no on-site servers to build, install, or maintain, says Fribush.
The solution, which supports telecommuters and branch and home offices, features automated provisioning, so resellers can provision and configure a new IP-PBX system via a Web interface. And account administration—including IP-PBX systems, SIP trunks, phone numbers, and VoIP handset provisioning—can also be managed online.
Resellers set their own pricing and receive automatic, monthly billing statements for customers in PDF format, branded with their logo and contact information. Aretta provides tier-two technical support, which includes a special reseller support line.
To qualify for the program, resellers must have an applicable business to distribute the offering, and meet minimum monthly revenue requirements to maintain wholesale pricing. Aretta, in turn, provides training, user guides, and datasheets that can be branded, as well as education on how to configure the PBX and VoIP handsets.
