Axis Launches Network Video Certification Program to Recognize Network Video Professionals

Axis Certified Professional designation is designed to validate IP video expertise and strengthen personal credentials.

Axis Certified Professional designation is designed to validate IP video expertise and strengthen personal credentials.

Axis Communications, a member of the global network video market, has created the Axis Certification Program to help people and companies demonstrate their competence and skills in the area of IP video surveillance. Axis is offering the certification program through external, third-party certification test centers managed by Prometric, a global provider of testing and assessment services.†

Bill Murtagh, senior vice president of client services, Prometric, says, “The growth in demand for network video has stimulated a great deal of interest from security professionals who want to learn more about the latest trends in IP surveillance. We look forward to working with Axis to deliver exam programs that offer the very highest knowledge standards in this dynamic and growing marketplace.”

To become certified, individuals need to pass an advanced test that proves they are well-versed in the latest network video technologies, solutions, products, and best-practice techniques.

The certification works to promote individuals and the companies they work for, reinforcing the participant’s status as an Axis Certified Professional. Once certified, participants will also earn Axis’ global stamp of endorsement meant to strengthen both their personal and their company’s credentials.

Axis Communications’ Academy offers a variety of classroom and Web-based trainings, along with tutorials and guides to help individuals prepare for the exam. The certification program will be available in the U.S. starting in January 2011 at the price of $150.
