Tripp Lite Introduces Latest UPS Systems
Two new 12 kVA SmartOnline hot-swappable modular UPS systems offer 208/240 V and 120 V output compatibilities.
Tripp Lite introduced two new 12 kVA SmartOnline hot-swappable modular UPS systems this week. The new systems offer 208/240 V and 120 V output compatibilities respectively.
According to Tripp Lite, the new UPS systems (models SU12000RT4U and SU12000RT4UHW) provide up to 8400 W of capacity in just 8 U of rack space (4U power module plus 4U battery module). A detachable PDU with manual bypass switch enables hot-swappable power and battery module replacement.
Both models feature hardwire input and output. The SU12000RT4U also provides 13 output receptacles (5 x 5-15/20R, 2 x L6-30R, 6 x C19).
Features of the new UPS systems include:
- Full-time sine wave AC output without surges, voltage fluctuations, and line noise
- Selectable 208/240 V and 120 V output compatibility
- Detachable PDU with manual bypass that enables hot-swap UPS replacement without
interrupting power to connected equipment - Optional Economy Mode that reduces BTU heat output and operating energy costs
- USB port
- DB9 serial port
- SNMP/Web interface
- PowerAlert software
- Optional external battery pack
“Our new 12kVA UPS systems provide a high level of power protection without requiring a large amount of rack space,” says David Slotten, Tripp Lite’s director of product management. “Their detachable PDU with manual bypass switch enables the UPS and battery modules to be removed from the rack for maintenance or replacement without interrupting power to mission-critical connected equipment.”
Slotten adds, “Extreme operating efficiency reduces total cost of ownership, saving thousands of dollars over competing systems. This combination of features makes them ideal for a wide range of data center and IT applications.”
