Performance software developer IObit has released version 2 Beta of its Game Booster software product.
Game Booster v2 Beta is available for download from the IObit site.
Game Booster helps gamers achieve a performance edge by optimizing the PC for smoother, more responsive game play. It works by defragmenting game directories, temporarily shutting down background processes, cleaning RAM, and intensifying processor performance. “That means you can keep all the features of operating systems ready for when you need them, but turn them off when you are ready to get down to serious business,” states the IObit Web site.
GameBooster is compatible with PunkBuster, Cheating-Death, VAC, and any other anti-cheat software as well.
Game Booster v2 does not overclock hardware.
The new version, Game Booster v2 Beta, closes background processes and unnecessary Windows services to concentrate all system resources on game playing. In addition, it offers the following performance-enhancing features:
- Driver Installation–The latest drivers for modern PC games are installed quickly.
- Game Tools–Necessary tools, like DirectX or Steam, are downloaded and updated.
- Game File Defragmenting–An improved defragment engine enables quick defragging of game directories and files.
- PC Tune-Up–The PC will be tweaked for the ultimate system and Internet speed with a single click.
