Ipswitch Expands Its Global Partner Program
An Elite partner designation and deal registration join a roster of benefits offered by the managed file transfer solutions vendor.
Ipswitch Inc., a provider of managed file transfer solutions based in Lexington, Mass., has enhanced its Ipswitch FT Partner Program with an Elite partner designation and deal registration program. Loic Triger, vice president of global channels and international sales, explains the new features and what partners stand to gain from an association with the company.
CHANNELPRO-SMB: Your new Elite partner designation joins the existing designations of Associate and Premier partners. Why did you create the new level?
TRIGER: Our partners are integral to our growth, as they provide value to our customers by acting as an extension of our sales team. The Elite-level expansion was created for those partners looking for even greater association and support from Ipswitch. By greater association, we mean an Elite-level partner is authorized to sell our full line of software—WS_FTP and MOVEit. Elite-level partners receive MOVEit NFR kits, additional leads, customizable MOVEit marketing templates, and consideration for our partner advisory council of top†global partners.†
CHANNELPRO-SMB: What other benefits can partners expect?
TRIGER: Channel discounts†get progressively higher as you move up in the program. Premier- and Elite-level partners have access to†an assigned†channel account manager. For successfully†registered deals,†partners will be entitled to direct sales†support by an Ipswitch account manager and will receive an additional†discount on top of their existing channel discount.†
CHANNELPRO-SMB: Isn’t deal registration a new feature of the program?
TRIGER: Yes. This new program will incent resellers with additional discount points for registering qualified net new sales opportunities on the FT Partner Portal. All reseller partners can register deals. Resellers that close registered deals on MOVEit products are eligible to receive an additional 10 percent discount of distribution cost.
CHANNELPRO-SMB: How will you let partners know about other program changes?
TRIGER: Communications to partners will primarily be through the FT Partner Portal. There they will receive the latest information on products, promotions, sales tools, collateral, events, and training. Partners can also follow us @MFTPartners on Twitter for industry trends, selling solutions, and more. This Twitter account is specifically targeted at the Ipswitch FT Partner Program community.
