Symform To Give Away 500 Free Cloud Storage Nodes
Company creates the promotion in celebration of the “smashing success” of its Symform v2.0 rollout.
Backup and recovery solutions provider Symform is giving away 500 free Symform nodes for 60 days.
The free 60-day nodes provide access for SMBs to the company’s Cooperative Storage Cloud, which saw its version 2 release earlier this month. The new version adds laptop backup support and the new Flexible Contribution and Instant Restore features. Read about the v2 launch here.
“The Symform v2.0 launch was a smashing success,” the company states in a press release to EH Publishing. “We’re absolutely thrilled at the response to our v2.0 from all our reseller Partners.”
The celebratory promotion is works on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no limit to the number of nodes a partner can install. Once the 500th node is installed, however, the promotion ends.
For a node to be eligible, it must be a new node. “No, you can’t delete a current node then re-install it and get it for free,” the press release states. “We’ll take a count of all your current nodes as of today [Oct. 13, 2010], and only new nodes above this count will be eligible.”
For a node to be eligible, it must also be installed by July 30, and it must have a valid payment authorization assigned by July 30 as well.
No nodes will be billed until October of this year, according to the company.
