Business security solutions provider WatchGuard Technology’s Summer Security Sale is on. The promotion is aimed at supply SMB end-users with network security and Web protection at discounted prices.
As part of the Summer Sale, WatchGuard customers will be offered discounts of up to 25 percent off of the latest WatchGuard XTM 5 and XTM 8 Series firewalls as well as WatchGuard XCS 370, 570, and 770 Series messaging security and data loss prevention appliances.
According to WatchGuard director of field marketing Mark Romano, hackers, viruses, and malware are, contrary to popular opinion, every bit a concern for SMBs as enterprise companies. “SMBs are the most vulnerable to next-generation threats,” he says. “Because of this, we created the WatchGuard Summer Security Sale as a way to help SMBs stay ahead of the latest hacks, attacks, and malware threats.”
Complete with trademark bright red color, the WatchGuard XTM Series represents the multi-layered, “defense-in-depth” next generation firewall capabilities. According to WatchGuard, the XTM Series is “ideal for small businesses,” providing network, application, and data protection as well as management features and capabilities.
The WatchGuard XTM 5 Series delivers security performance to SMBs at mid-level prices. Security capabilities include full HTTPS content inspection and VoIP support. Moreover, even Ethernet interfaces (six GigE and one FE) provide high-speed LAN backbone infrastructure and gigabit WAN connectivity. IT administrators can manage the appliances from a centralized console, scriptable CLI, and Web UI. Real-time monitoring and rich reporting are included at no extra cost.
The WatchGuard XTM 8 Series, on the other hand, includes full HTTPS inspection, optional URL filtering, anti-spam, anti-virus, and intrusion prevention. Flexible, centralized management tools provide administration access from a single console or a scriptable CLI, and they include real-time monitoring and rich reporting. High availability (active/active), multi-WAN, server load balancing, and VLANs can be configured.
