Intronis Online Backup and Recovery launched a product upgrade this week. The product release includes a local backup feature for MSPs, enabling them to use a single piece of software in selecting data for local device backup >and data for offsite backup.
“Most IT service providers have a range of clients with varied data requirements,” states Intronis in a press release to EH Publishing. “Intronis’ addition of local backup makes offering hybrid backup solutions more streamlined and much less expensive.”
Intronis is an SAS 70-certified online backup and recovery solution. To the management portal of its software, Intronis has added several features that will enable managed service providers to better administer and calibrate their accounts.
Most notable among the features is a new reporting tool for backup status that provides technicians with a means of managing backup sets more efficiently. The report includes specific notifications and enables technicians to set the conditions that trigger those notifications.
Intronis vice president of engineering and delivery Jay Bolgatz says the company’s “close relationship” with its partners was at the heart of the product upgrades.† “Our customers’ feedback has a direct impact our product roadmap and greatly influences our future innovation,” he says.
Intronis plans on releasing product advancements including strategic architecture and platform enhancements later this year. A subscription to Intronis’ local backup feature costs $4.95 per server per month for unlimited local storage.
