Kerio Connect Optimized for Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7
New certifications for the messaging and collaboration solution help customers maintain security and performance, says the company.
San Jose, Calif.-based Kerio Technologies, Inc., a provider of IT security and messaging, announced two Windows certifications for Kerio Connect. Kerio Connect meets the criteria for the “Works with Windows Server 2008 R2” certification. Kerio Connect is also now certified for Windows 7. Kerio Connect 7 includes distributed domain clustering for unified management of a single domain for branch offices. Supporting the latest versions of Microsoft’s operating systems helps customers maintain the highest level of security and performance.
Windows is the operating system of choice for many SMBs that might choose to run Kerio Connect on Microsoft’s server platform in their headquarters while a small branch office could use a Windows 7 operating system to run their local Kerio Connect.
Kerio Connect links to Microsoft Active Directory, provides mobile email using Exchange ActiveSync, and offers integration with Microsoft Outlook.
“Kerio is dedicated to delivering on its promise to provide quality cross-platform solutions to our customers and channel partners worldwide,” says Dusan Vitek, vice president of Worldwide Marketing for Kerio.
In addition to Windows, Kerio Connect runs on Mac OS X and Linux operating systems, and is ready for virtualization as a VMware and Parallels Virtual Appliance. Kerio’s collaboration server delivers complete groupware with anti-virus and anti-spam protection, integrated automatic backup, and archiving.
Kerio Connect starts at $450 for five users; additional users starts at $24. For more information, visit www.kerio.com/connect.
