Tech Data Corp. has expanded its solutions offerings to include new mobile computing, security, video production, document management, virtualization, and professional IT services.
Having reached distribution agreements with Absolute Software Corp., Elgato Systems, Infonic, and Quattro BPO Solutions, as well as expanded partnerships with Novell and Samsung, Tech Data’s vice president of U.S. marketing Joe Quaglia calls the company’s partnerships “key for resellers and vendors” in their efforts “to capitalize on end-user demand.”
Through its product marketing and advanced infrastructure solutions (AIS) divisions and specialized business units (SBUs), Tech Data aims to help resellers “incorporate new products and services into their solutions offerings,” according to Tech Data press release.
Tech Data now distributes the following solutions:
- Absolute Software–The Computrace product tracks devices, automates hardware and software inventory, remotely deletes data, and help get back stolen computers.
- Elgato–This company’s solutions convert video for storage, editing and viewing on Apple’s Mac, iPhone and iPod devices.
- Infonic–Document management software comes from this company. The software helps streamline business process automation, document archiving and retrieval, and office workflow.
- Novell–This company’s PlateSpin products enable resellers to offer customers tools for better managing virtual environments. PlateSpin offers an array of planning, analysis and management capabilities that help users generate even greater ROI on their virtualization efforts.
- Samsung–Tech Data broadened its distribution agreement with this company to include the vendor’s business-class notebooks, netbooks and ultra-mobile PCs.
- Quattro–A wide range of professional IT services come with this company, including help desk support, hosted data backup, managed call center implementation, and risk management consulting.
