CA Inc. Adds Remote Install Features to Its Security Products
Software company simplifies deployment for SMBs with “limited IT staff.”
CA Inc., an IT management software company has announced remote deployment services for its endpoint and gateway Internet security solution, CA Total Defense.
The company also announced remote deployment services for the product’s individual components: the CA Threat Manager, CA Host-Based Intrusion Prevention System and CA Gateway Security. The installation of these products, as well as the removal of other products, can now be performed remotely, via a broadband connection.
The service is available worldwide via CA Internet Security Business Unit partners in English only. A professional CA remote deployment services team is assigned to each project in order to manage the full installation. Proper installation helps assure product performance and prevent malware before it gets to a network.
CA Inc. is aiming to convince SMB and enterprise customers of the convenience and cost-savings benefits of this method of installation. In a corporate press release, CA Inc. says the design was made “for SMBs with zero to limited IT staff or for enterprise customers.”
