Virtual Campus for Partner Training Debuts from VMware
Partner University consolidates education resources in one framework.
Helping its partners build successful and profitable virtualization practices is what VMware Inc. intends for its new Partner University, a virtual campus offered by the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company that will provide training and education on its products, services, and solutions.
Announced at VMworld Europe on February 23, this addition to VMware’s partner program consolidates all education resources in one framework and is designed to meet the needs of sales, pre-sales, and post-sales professionals through its training plans. The university is organized into solution areas, making it easy for partners to develop expertise and earn accreditation and certification based on their individual focus areas, according to the company.
“VMware is committed to providing partners at all levels with the high-quality training and education they need to accelerate revenue and profitability from their virtualization practices,” says Ben Matheson, senior director of global partner marketing at VMware. “VMware Partner University is the next evolution of this focus, enabling partners to earn certifications that will differentiate their virtualization practices in the marketplace.”
VMware Partner University provides role-based training paths for all skill levels designed and led by experts on VMware’s portfolio of virtualization solutions-from server and desktop virtualization to application and mobile device virtualization. “Regardless of whether the partner is new to virtualization or a VMware veteran, VMware Partner University is a one-stop virtual campus that offers employees the training they need to meet their individual goals and requirements,” says Matheson.
