Evo Security demonstrated a major investment in the IT channel by assembling an all-star lineup of key leaders who helped build Datto from the ground up.

The cybersecurity SaaS company, which focuses on MSP-focused identity and access management security products, announced the addition of six executives to its team who are expected to make a huge impact in the industry.

“I can’t explain how pumped and grateful I am to work with some of the channel’s most experienced and high-quality professionals,” CEO and Founder Michael Roth said in a prepared statement. “They really know how to build programs that take care of partners and deliver best-of-breed success. We’re very selective about who joins our team, and I can’t wait to see what they can do in the months and years ahead.”

The news is significant for IT services providers, as the new team members bring valuable insights, experience, and collaborative opportunities for MSPs. This could lead to enhanced solutions, support, and overall advancement within the channel.

Learn a little more about the new executives on the Evo Security team:

Urvish Badiani – Board Advisor

Board Advisor
Evo Security

Badiani is familiar face and a veteran in the MSP Channel for over 20 years. Badiani recently joined Evo Security as an advisor to the CEO and Evo’s board of directors on all matters related to go-to-market. He also helps drive awareness about the value of Evo Security to the MSP community.

Badiani was at Datto for over nine years, serving as vice president of Americas Growth Sales, and helped Datto grow the Canadian MSP market to over 2,000 MSP Partners.

Prior to Datto, Badiani spent seven years at Level Platforms (acquired by AVG Technologies), a pioneer for remote monitoring and management (RMM).

“What attracted me to Evo is that they are an MSP-centric organization that helps MSPs grow their managed services revenue by offering purpose-built, cost-effective identity and privileged access solutions to SMBs” said Badiani.

“I’m thrilled to bring Urvish’s channel knowledge into Evo, and consider him one of the world’s premier GTM experts with respect to channel mechanics,” Roth added.

Eric Morano – Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Eric Morano of Evo Security

Eric Morano

Morano is a seasoned sales leader, having served the MSP community for 20 years at Datto, SKOUT Cybersecurity, Barracuda MSP, and Titan HQ. He also spent time at CDW and Insight, gaining valuable experience with both serving MSPs directly and distribution models.

While at Datto during its hyper-growth years, Morano held key positions on the sales and go-to-market teams, most recently as senior program director-Global Sales Execution, and as manager of partner acquisition-North America. He was responsible for all new business sales at Datto in the U.S. market, contributing to thousands of MSP partnerships across several Datto product lines.

Morano leads all sales and marketing for Evo Security, has assembled an all-star sales team, and has a primary focus on delivering a best-of-breed partner experience.

“It’s rare to find a channel-only company with a clear message, solid market fit, and a platform that can deliver an immediate security impact. Evo was an easy decision for me,” said Morano.

Added Roth: “Eric is one of the hardest workers I know, and the most genuinely dedicated and knowledgeable channel leaders I’ve met. I’m truly grateful to have him as part of the leadership team.”

Dan Vaz – Senior Director of Sales Engineering

Dan Vaz of Evo Security

Dan Vaz

Vaz was employee No. 5 at Datto. Over the course of his nine-year tenure, he helped grow the company from a startup to a multibillion-dollar private equity exit. Vaz was also a key member of the SKOUT Cybersecurity team and again helped steer the company from early stage to acquisition by Barracuda.

At Datto, Vaz oversaw all matters relating to sales engineering, serving as a sales engineering manager, and then later as director of sales engineering. During this time, he learned how to properly educate and understand the needs of partners as they seek to fill gaps in their IT stack. He crafted the famous “White Glove Installation” and “Disaster Demo” experiences.

At Evo, Vaz leads companywide efforts for sales engineering and technical partner education. His expertise is a step-change in value to partners as they adopt their identity and privileged access management journey.

“Dan is a rare talent,” Roth said. “He empathetically connects with the journey MSP technicians are on, especially when trying to understand and choose a solution, and has crafted a well-balanced approach to helping Partners smoothly transition and onboard into the Evo platform. I’m excited to work with him.”

Francisco Arias – Director of Partner Success

Francisco Arias of Evo Security

Francisco Arias

Arias was a senior member of Datto’s Partner Success team, having joined the company through the acquisition of Infocyte, which became Datto EDR.

Partners that have worked with Arias rave about his dedication, willingness to help, and overall supportive approach. Arias is a problem-solver and takes great satisfaction in ensuring Partners are onboarded properly and taken care of technically.

At Evo, Arias leads Partner Success for the company, focusing specifically on onboarding new partners into the Evo platform, and making sure they have all the knowledge and tools they need to be successful moving forward.

“What I love about my role is I get to help partners get onboarded with Evo as efficiently as possible. If I can save partners time through a seamless onboarding experience, it ultimately leads to them generating more revenue,” said Arias.

Added Roth: “Cisco has a naturally warm and welcoming demeanor, yet, is also very conscientious and technical. His innate skill sets and willingness to roll up his sleeves are a perfect match for new partners rolling out Evo for the first time. It’s impressive to see how much he cares about partner success.”

Nick Wolf – Director of Partner Acquisition

Nick Wolf of Evo Security

Nick Wolf

Wolf started his career in the channel at Datto in very early days, and was a high-performing member of Datto’s hypergrowth U.S. sales team for over eight years, earning several distinctions for performance and partner engagement.

More recently, Wolf developed a passion for cybersecurity, and has become a trusted advisor for MSPs looking to grow their security portfolios.

Wolf’s role at Evo involves leading companywide efforts to build new relationships with partners, introducing them to the value of the Evo Security platform, and helping craft a win-win strategy.

“Everyone at Evo is working toward the same goal, and that is building a world-class identity and privileged access management solution for MSPs. It’s great to wake up every day and know we’re making a positive impact,” said Wolf.

Roth added that Wolf has shown an unwavering dedication to engage and educate the MSP ecosystem. “He truly cares about the success of MSPs and is passionate about aligning himself with the best solutioning to do that. He’s made a massive impact here at Evo and I can’t express how grateful we are to have him on the team.”

Jeff Brown – Director of Channel Sales

Jeff Brown of Evo Security

Jeff Brown

Jeff started at Datto back in 2008, helping build the company from the ground up during its infancy. During his tenure, he focused on both sales and operations, specifically helping global seed syncing for Datto devices. He also held roles at channel vendors SKOUT Cybersecurity, Zorus, TitanHQ, and Conceal.

At Evo, Jeff leads up Partner engagement alongside Cisco, helping Partners with growth, education, sales strategy, customer engagement, and anything needed to be successful with the Evo platform. He also helps engage new Partners in the ecosystem, introducing them to the value of Evo’s consolidation strategy.

“Engaging with MSPs and helping them secure their clients while also growing their revenue has been a passion of mine for several years. Joining Evo became a no brainer for me when I saw what they were offering MSPs,” said Brown.

“Jeff is a stand up professional, and someone that partners really enjoy working with. His level-headed approach to problem solving and sense of urgency when working with Partners is first-class. It’s impressive to see the impact he’s made in such a short amount of time. I’m glad Jeff is part of the team,” said Roth.
