ConnectWise, the Tampa, Fla.-based managed services software maker, has signed an agreement to sell Auvik Networks Inc.‘s RMM solution to its customers.
Auvik, of Waterloo, Ont., makes software that equips MSPs to remotely administer network infrastructure like routers, firewalls, and switches. That system supplements, rather than overlaps with, ConnectWise’s own LabTech RMM tool, according to Gavin Gamber, ConnectWise’s vice president of channel sales and alliances.
“ConnectWise IT service provider partners are always looking for the best ways to deliver outstanding services to their customers,” he says. “Auvik helps automate the complexities of network management and helps to free a technician’s time, so our missions complement each other nicely.”
Boosting technician productivity is a key priority for ConnectWise at present and a core design goal for LabTech 11, the new edition of LabTech released in June. Getting more done with existing staff by streamlining administrative workflows is the key to raising managed services profitability, the vendor believes.
For Auvik, a relatively young company founded five years ago, the new alliance with ConnectWise represents a chance to promote and sell its software through one of the best-known names in managed services.
“This distribution partnership is the logical next step for our company,” said Auvik CEO Marc Morin in a press statement. “Now managed service providers looking for a comprehensive network and business management solution can purchase Auvik directly from ConnectWise.”
Auvik’s solution already synchronizes bi-directionally with the ConnectWise PSA platform. A further integration that will allow users to access network device dashboards, configuration backups, and topology maps from directly within LabTech is currently undergoing beta tests.
