Less than two weeks after SolarWinds completed the acquisition of remote monitoring and management (RMM) software provider N-able, Amsterdam-based AVG Technologies N.V. has entered into an agreement to acquire, subject to closing, the business of LPI Level Platforms Inc., an N-able competitor located in Ottawa, Canada.
Level Platforms’ cloud-based RMM tool, Managed Workplace, provides visibility and unified management of the entire IT infrastructure, including devices, applications, networks, and cloud. Managed Workplace will be added to AVG CloudCare, which offers VARs and MSPs a free, cloud-based administrative platform for remotely deploying and managing their clients’ security with AVG anti-virus.
Deal Terms and Financials
- AVG expects to realize significant synergies by combining platforms and business operations, with the objective of making the acquisition accretive quickly.
- AVG expects $5 million of subscription revenue related to the transaction in the second half 2013, which is expected to be neutral to non-GAAP earnings. In 2014, subscription revenue is projected to be $15 million and non-GAAP EPS is projected to be in the range of 6-10 cents for this business.
