Ultimately, only one vote counts on which vendors, distributors, and products are the best of the best. Yours. And once again, you’ve cast your ballots and rendered your judgment. Here are the choices you made in our latest Readers’ Choice Awards.

  • Managed Services Awards

    • Best Remote Monitoring and Management Vendor
Including ConnectWise RMM, the next-generation platform it introduced last November, ConnectWise now has three RMM solutions, and some combination of them have landed the company back atop the polling for best RMM vendor after a one-year stint in second place. Kaseya, despite dropping from gold to silver this year, can take solace from the fact that it remains a strong favorite among MSPs despite last July’s painful breach.

    • Best Professional Services Automation Vendor
Following the completion of its epic $6.2 billion acquisition, Datto has officially been a Kaseya business unit since June, which means that collectively the two brands own two-thirds of the medals in this category. Worth noting that ConnectWise comes out ahead by a sliver in this year’s vote even if you combine the Datto and Kaseya totals.

    • Best Documentation Vendor
Good news for Kaseya: Its IT Glue unit grabbed a commanding 53% of the ballot for best documentation this year, a big jump over the voting last year, which was the first time we offered awards in this category. ConnectWise’s second-place finish is the first-ever medal for its ITBoost product.
      • Gold
IT Glue makes documentation exciting. We hear this from partners a lot, and it really speaks to the heart of what we do. Structured documentation and relatable data are central to every IT service provider. The excitement comes when you think about all the possibilities that IT Glue will open up for your organization. When your team is more efficient, you have more time to think big.

    • Best Cloud Management Vendor
Especially since COVID-19’s unwelcome arrival in our lives two years ago, more and more of what SMBs do happens in the cloud, which means more and more of what MSPs do for clients is cloud management. Accordingly, we added a brand-new cloud management category to this year’s awards, and you crowned Microsoft, Nerdio, and JumpCloud the first-ever winners.
      • Gold

    • Best Private Cloud Computing Vendor
There’s been no touching Microsoft in this category since 2018, and given the 45% of this year’s vote the company won, its streak appears safe for some time. Whether first-time private cloud medalist Lenovo, which tied with last year’s bronze honoree HPE, sticks around among the winners is a bigger question mark.
      • Gold

Microsoft Corp. is a provider of software, services, and solutions that enable SMBs to grow by leveraging powerful, affordable technologies such as cloud computing.

  • Mobility Awards

    • Best Tablet Vendor
Readers chose the same three companies (Apple, Samsung, and Google) in the same order (first, second, and third, respectively) so many times in the voting for Best Smartphone that we eliminated the category this year to make room for more contested markets. The same fate may await the Best Tablet award, as 2015 was the last time the results came out differently.

  • Security Awards

    • Best Managed Security Service Provider
Gold medalist Huntress won roughly as many votes as silver winners Arctic Wolf and ConnectWise combined. We suspect that Arctic Wolf is at least partly consoled by the fact that this is the big-time managed security vendor’s first Readers’ Choice Award ever.

    • Best EDR/XDR Vendor
One of the shockers in last year’s Readers’ Choice voting was the absence of EDR heavyweight SentinelOne from the winners in what was then a brand-new category. This year, SentinelOne tied for silver with Microsoft and finished closely behind MSP favorite Huntress.

    • Best Password Management/IAM Vendor
The results here are a little deceptive. Last year’s gold medalist was LogMeIn. Since then, the company has rebranded as GoTo and spun off its LastPass password management unit as a stand-alone company. So it turns out LastPass is your first choice in this category for the second time in a row, just as Kaseya’s Passly solution remains your runner-up. 1Password, which narrowly missed medaling last year, pulled into the top three this time.
      • Gold

LastPass is a freemium password manager that stores encrypted passwords online.

      • Gold

With advanced threats like ransomware, polymorphic malware, and malicious scripts, traditional blocking solutions are no longer enough.

That’s why Webroot provides next-generation, cloud-based endpoint protection, network protection, and security awareness training solutions purpose built to help managed service providers strengthen their clients’ resilience against cyberattacks.
