Designed to improve technician productivity and billing accuracy, the new, closer synchronizations arrive as Autotask parent Datto kicks off its annual U.S. partner event in Austin, Texas.

And not just because Continuum gains managed SIEM services its security suite needed or because CARVIR gains access to resources that will fuel the evolution of its products, but because the two companies are led by CEOs with longstanding ties.

The new feature, which can automatically open support tickets in the vendor’s PSA system, gives end users an alternative to email and phone calls for interacting with help desks about technical issues.

Expected to officially go into production late next month, version 18.1 of the vendor’s flagship PSA product employs a clean, web-friendly look and feel designed to make working in the system dramatically easier for technicians and service managers.

The latest edition of the company’s remote monitoring and management solution also includes “closed-loop” alerting functionality and the ability to add custom branding elements to customer-facing web support portals.

Called Kaseya One, the new system is designed to boost MSP productivity by providing centralized access to information from the software maker’s RMM, PSA, and other solutions as well as systems from third-party alliance partners.

The network monitoring functionality is provided by directly embedded elements of the company’s Traverse solution. The documentation capabilities come via tightly-integrated software from IT Glue.

The blockbuster deal positions the combined vendors to deliver the same kind of comprehensive MSP solution portfolio arch rival Datto has been offering since late last year.

Available in the second half of the year and based on technology from Spanning Cloud Apps, the new system will enable MSPs to protect Office 365 mailboxes, contacts, and calendars, as well as data in SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.

First announced last month, the new QuoteWerks Web lets users access data previously available only in the product’s desktop edition through their web browser as well.
