A new line of products and services by Avaya seeks to improve their versatility while enhancing the vendor’s competitive standing in UC cloud computing.

The new groups will help MSPs prepare to buy or sell a business and advise traditional hardware and software resellers on how to add as-a-service offerings to their product lineup, according to Arlin Sorensen (pictured), who is leading the initiative.

Described by Chief Product Officer Craig Fulton (pictured) during the managed services vendor’s IT Nation Connect conference in Orlando last week, the new features are designed to help MSPs improve brand recognition and technician productivity.

Available in both free and advanced editions, the new functionality automatically searches for advanced persistent threats, keyloggers, malicious registry changes, and other intrusions that have gained a foothold on monitored end points.

According to CEO Arnie Bellini (pictured), core elements of the initiative include the launch of an open source security integration standard and the introduction of new cybersecurity solutions, some of which will compete with products from ConnectWise partners.

According to global cloud exec Nimesh Dave (pictured), the distributor will use a self-serve onboarding tool and a series of solution-hunting search efforts to add lesser-known cloud applications from early-stage vendors to its cloud marketplace.

Available in the U.S. and Canada at present and free to partners with vendor sponsorship, the new program provides all the elements of a complete search engine marketing campaign, including customized content and pay-per-click advertising.

The sales management tool streamlines Cisco orders now, and will support additional vendors soon. The renewal management tool automates a labor-intensive operational process. Both were introduced at Ingram’s ONE conference, in Washington, D.C.
