The hardware maker showcased three consumer notebooks powered by Microsoft’s latest desktop OS alongside new monitors and a new edge computing server during its 2021 Tech World conference today.

Originally a pay-as-you-go procurement option for infrastructure products, TruScale now covers Lenovo’s entire portfolio of PCs, tablets, edge computing devices, data center gear, and beyond.

The new offering features two Lenovo ThinkSystem SE350 edge servers pre-loaded with an edge-optimized software suite from VMware that combines its vSphere, vSAN, and Tanzu products in one package.

The new functionality will be part of a larger plan to turn the vendor’s twin RMM solutions into unified platforms for administering physical, virtual, and cloud-based assets, according to CTO and Chief Product Officer Mike Adler (pictured).

Integrations with third-party security and BDR solutions, as well as “intelligent alerting” functionality, are also coming soon from the cloud-native vendor, which was founded by SaaS veterans early last year.

Skyrocketing adoption of its growing product family has the video communications leader eagerly recruiting partners.

The new system, which includes an outsourced managed detection and response option, is part of a larger effort by the company to expand beyond its roots in data center services into security offerings as well.

Called RiskResponder, the new tool is designed to give MSPs an intuitive, consistent way to act on an expanded list of security dangers that now includes invalid remote desktop connections and disabling local security tools like Microsoft Defender.

Called Team GPS, the new solution is designed to help channel pros better manage critical tasks like formulating business plans, monitoring customer satisfaction, and conducting employee performance reviews.
