Noteworthy Kaseya Innovations in Q1: Autotask, IT Glue, and more

Kaseya kicked off 2025 with a wave of noteworthy changes to its solution set. For MSPs, these updates mean greater efficiency, stronger defenses, and a fully integrated IT management experience.

Kaseya kicked off 2025 with a series of new product capabilities that underscore its momentum and commitment to innovation. The product updates to Autotask, IT Glue, and other popular products leverage Kaseya’s integrated platform, Kaseya 365, to rapidly roll out exciting new features.

In a prepared statement, Kaseya’s Chief Product Officer, Ranjan Singh, highlighted the importance of the organization’s innovation-first approach.

“We are pursuing an aggressive innovation schedule to extend our leadership in the market. We continue to build on the Kaseya 365 platform and have launched several critical capabilities to help customers establish a solid security posture against the latest and most aggressive cyber threats, all while making them the most efficient IT organizations in the industry.”

Q1 2025 Innovations: At a Glance

Compliance Manager GRC

  • New enhancements to Compliance Manager GRC, which originally launched in 2022, further simplify compliance for customers. The new functionality automates the risk management process, including readiness tracking and remediation guidance. This means fewer compliance headaches, less manual tracking, and a stronger competitive edge for MSPs that offer compliance-as-a-service.

Autotask (Next-Gen PSA)

  •  The latest version of Kaseya’s Autotask PSA introduces AI-driven ticket summaries. It automatically generates recaps of actions taken on IT service tickets, saving technicians time and improving documentation quality. Because of this, MSP helpdesk teams can resolve issues faster and ensure consistent record-keeping without extra work.

IT Glue Smart SOP Generator

  • A new capability in the IT Glue documentation platform that automates the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) in real time. This feature lets IT teams and MSPs effortlessly generate up-to-date process documentation, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the organization. This means a reduction in time spent writing training docs and faster onboarding with ready-made procedures.

myITprocess

  • Updates to the myITprocess vCIO tool automate data gathering across different systems (PSA, RMM, security tools), saving significant time for IT teams in planning and assessments. By pulling in data from multiple sources, MSPs can more easily develop IT roadmaps and client reports, allowing them to focus on strategy rather than manual data collection.

Vonahi vPenTest (Grey Box)

  • Kaseya’s security suite (via Vonahi) added internal “grey box” penetration testing capabilities. This enables automated pen tests that pinpoint sensitive data and vulnerabilities accessible through user accounts. It helps MSPs identify weaknesses that a malicious insider or compromised account might exploit, strengthening defensive postures before real attackers can do harm.

Impact on MSPs and the IT Management Landscape

  • Efficiency Gains: Several new features free up time and reduce manual workloads. For instance, Autotask’s AI ticket summaries mean technicians spend less time writing up notes and more time resolving issues. The IT Glue SOP generator and myITprocess data automation cut down hours spent on documentation and reporting. These efficiency gains enable MSPs to serve more clients or handle more tickets with the same staff, directly supporting higher productivity and MSP profitability goals.

  • Improved Service Quality: Automation of standard procedures (via IT Glue) and better documentation of ticket actions (via Autotask) lead to more consistent service delivery. As a result, MSPs can ensure that best practices are followed every time, reducing errors and speeding up incident resolution.

  • Strengthened Security and Compliance: The grey-box pen testing from Vonahi allows MSPs to proactively uncover internal vulnerabilities in client networks. This means potential breaches can be remediated before they’re exploited, dramatically improving clients’ security posture. At the same time, enhancements in Compliance Manager GRC simplify meeting standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or cyber insurance requirements by automating risk tracking. For MSPs, this translates to new security services they can offer and less risk of clients falling victim to attacks or fines.

  • Integrated Platform Advantage: All these benefits are magnified by Kaseya’s integrated IT Complete/Kaseya 365 platform approach. By unifying data across tools like RMM, documentation, backup, and compliance MSPs benefit with a simple-to-manage approach. Ultimately, this trend is shaping the industry, driving other vendors toward an all-in-one approach to IT management.

Summing Things Up

For MSPs, these announcements represent an exciting step forward for productivity, security, and value. The award-winning company’s strong start in 2025 indicates it intends to continue investing in  cutting edge tech like AI. The company is poised to unveil even more at its upcoming Kaseya Connect event in late April, suggesting that its rapid pace of innovation – and competitive drive – will carry forward as the year progresses.
