Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions, announced the appointment of Dan Pierce and Marlena Fernandez to the executive team as a part of the company’s 2019 high-growth plans. Pierce will serve as the vice president of strategic sales, responsible for Scale Computing’s rapidly growing global OEM business in licensing its IP to strategic partners, and will also lead sales efforts in emerging markets (APAC and LATAM). Fernandez will serve as vice president of marketing, responsible for content marketing, demand generation, brand management, and the company’s go-to-market strategy. Both advance Scale Computing’s mission to lead the way as the top edge and HCI solution for global organizations.
Pierce brings 20 years of enterprise software sales and leadership experience with companies that include ProClarity, Microsoft, Clearwater Analytics and Calgary Scientific. He also brings a wealth of business development experience having structured and managed relationships with global OEMs that include Dell, Microsoft, Siemens, HP, Bank of America, IBM, McKesson, and GE.††††
Fernandez brings over 20 years of global marketing experience helping organizations reach their business, branding and sales goals. She held leadership roles at Symantec, Avoka, Seagate Technology, and Oracle.
