Business software solutions company SAP AG, headquartered in Walldorf, Germany, and LinkedIn, an online network for business professionals in Mountain View, Calif., have entered into an agreement to support the recruiting efforts of SAP’s SMB channel partners.
The collaboration will provide partners using LinkedIn with a way to find talent using Web 2.0 technology. Partners can sign up for the LinkedIn Recruiter Basic Starter Package, which includes an online recruiting solution known as LinkedIn Recruiter that searches the LinkedIn network for the best candidates based on definable criteria. Partners can then contact and track those candidates via the recruiter application.
The package also includes LinkedIn Jobs Network, a worldwide online job posting service that partners can leverage to promote job openings to the LinkedIn community. Other benefits include:
- Opportunity to leverage the LinkedIn network to engage with prospective candidates in a specific region
- Access to candidates other than active job seekers
- Customizable and specific search results when looking for qualified SAP talent
- Visibility into the 45 million professionals on LinkedIn and the ability to contact them directly
- Tools to extend recruitment reach
“Working with LinkedIn helps to ease our partners’ recruiting needs and provide them with alternatives to the traditional recruiting ways,” says Pat Hume, senior vice president, global SME indirect channel, SAP. “[It’s] a very robust solution.”
