CanIt Anti-Spam Solutions Made to Integrate with Autotask

Developer Roaring Penguin says integrating its line with popular remote monitoring and management tools is a key company focus.

Roaring Penguin Software Inc., developer of the CanIt line of anti-spam solutions, has completed an integration effort with Autotask, software for hosted IT business management.

Roaring Penguin Software features three anti-spam solutions: CanIt-PRO, which is available as a software solution or as an on premise appliance for the client’s site; CanIt-Domain-PRO, a centralized spam filter for MSPs’ data centers; and Hosted CanIt, a completely outsourced anti-spam solution hosted by Roaring Penguin.

Via a new CanIt extension, MSPs can now provision and bill their anti-spam users from within Autotask. Moreover, MSPs can more easily monitor the number of e-mail addresses seen for each domain filtered through CanIt, and they can also automatically handle the calculations needed for batch invoicing within Autotask.

The CanIt Extension for Autotask is available free of charge.

According to Roaring Penguin, integrating CanIt with the remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools has been a key focus. CanIt has already been to integrate with Level Platforms, Kaseya, Nable, and itControl Suite.

In a press release to EH Publishing, Roaring Penguin says, “Completion of the Roaring Penguin Extension for Autotask expands the single ‘command and control center’ that MSPs can use to protect, monitor, and manage their clients’ networks.”

Roaring Penguin president and CTO David Skoll added to that statement, saying, “Fighting Spam is a key deliverable for every MSP. Being able to remotely monitor and manage a client’s email communications infrastructure gives our MSPs and their clients peace of mind, especially when you’re talking about the negative impacts of malicious emails and spam.”

For Autotask’s part, the company says Roaring Penguin’s use of its API “validates Autotask as an open and extensible business automation platform.”

Autotask CEO Bob Godgart says his company is “pleased to work with forward-thinking software vendors like Roaring Penguin.” He adds, “They help us achieve our goal of helping MSPs to run their businesses better.”
