IT business management software provider ConnectWise has launched ConnectWise 2011, the latest version of its ConnectWise software. The first phase of ConnectWise 2011 includes enhancements for communications, workflows, sales and marketing, and Web and mobile functions.
According to Arnie Bellini, ConnectWise CEO, “This first set of updates for the next calendar year delivers more advanced and flexible integration with other business apps, such as email and calendars, as well as features that greatly simplify daily tasks.”
New features are in the following areas:
Keeping in touch
Based on partner requests, ConnectWise has developed additional sync capabilities with Microsoft Outlook and Exchange, including meeting invites, recurring appointments, and support for schedules spanning multiple days.
For quicker customer response, a new alert displays when a record was last updated by a customer rather than other contacts. Color-coding for different correspondence types within tickets and auto-updating of the CC field help streamline communications and save steps to keep all team members informed.
On the Web and on the go
ConnectWise now integrates with Google Calendar (this feature requires a corporate Google account). In addition, iPhone and Android users will find a list of related tickets and activities when viewing a contact record. International date, time, and currencies will now be supported for international iPhone and Android users. And, although this feature is still in beta, ConnectWise will support the iPad Safari browser.
Working it out
The Dispatcher will now have better visibility when viewing the Service Board with an additional column that shows the date a ticket was last updated. Also, a Reporting API enhancement will allow cloud-based partners to access custom reports with a Web services application, without compromising data security.
When opportunity knocks
Enhancements to the Marketing API will provide more detailed analysis of the effectiveness of Web and email campaigns, and will feature tracking fields for not just Email Opened and Links Clicked, but also for Forms Submitted. New tabs within the Marketing Campaign screen will enable more detailed analysis of data collected.†
