The components-maker’s CX V2 line of power supplies is the successor to the current CX family. The new models begin shipping in the channel this month.
Components-maker Corsair has updated its Builder Series PSUs by adding CX V2 models.
The Builder Series CX V2 is the successor to the current CX family of PSUs. The power supplies are being marketed for entry-level to midrange home system builds and desktop PC upgrades. They were designed to provide a value option, with low noise and continuous power delivery, according to Corsair.
“The Builder Series CX PSUs have been an integral part of Corsair’s PSU business, offering home system builders and hobbyists Corsair quality and reliability at attractive prices,” says Ruben Mookerjee, Corsair’s vice president and general manager of components. “Low cost of operation and trouble-free performance are highly desired features at every price point, and today we are proud to offer even better efficiency and a longer warranty with the new Builder Series CX V2 PSUs.”
The CX V2 line offers 80 PLUS certification and European Commission Energy-Related Product directive compliance for guaranteed efficiency and low standby power consumption.
Corsair Builder Series CX V2 power supplies are available this month from Corsair-authorized retailers worldwide. The CX600 V2 will be available for a suggested retail price of $74, and the CX500 V2 carries a MSRP of $64. The CX430 V2’s MSRP is $49.
The warranty on the CX V2 PSUs has been increased to three years, one year longer than the original Builder Series models.
