The cloud-based security and performance service upgrades its pricing structure along with certain features.
Web security and performance technology developer Incapsula introduced the latest version of its offering last month. Along with upgrades to the cloud-based offering came a free version of the service, aimed at very smaller businesses and personal websites.
The latest iteration of Incapsula offers SMBs more website data, better analytics, and faster SSL setup, according to Incapsula’s blogpost about the release.
Many new charts provide SMBs with details about their website’s traffic. Global response time, security threats, and other reports are included with the new charts.
The most notable change, however, is the pricing structure for SMBs.
SPEED, SECURITY & PRICING FOR SMBs
Incapsula offers a “Web Application Firewall (WAF) that checks for attacks and threat vectors as they emerge globally. The more sites Incapsula filters, the more knowledge it gains about threats.
In addition, by caching and optimizing content it serves, Incapsula is also able to reduce the load on a website’s server to increase speed.
Does it sound to you like these features would particularly benefit SMBs? Well, it sounded that way to Incapsula, too.
Along with its most recent upgrade, the Incapsula product experienced a pricing overhaul. Now, small businesses and personal websites can enjoy the protection and speediness of Incapsula for free up to 25 GB of bandwidth per month.
“We’re eager to see personal website owners and SMBs take us up on our free offer and join our crowdsourcing engine, because the more traffic that our servers see, the better our technology can detect rapidly evolving web threats,” says Incapsula CEO Gur Shatz.
