Veeam Software, a backup and virtualization management provider, has launched Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange, exclusively in beta. Veeam Explorer enables admins to look inside Exchange backups to find and retrieve individual Exchange items, without an agent.
Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange is part of all Beeam Backup & Replication editions, including the Free Edition. Features include:
- Browsing Exchange databases directly from a compressed backup file and having the mailbox database searchable in less than two minutes
- Searching for specific terms across multiple Exchange mailbox addresses and object types with advanced search capabilities
- Exporting items to a PST file, to MSG files, or sending them as an attachment
- VM admins can perform e-discovery, exchange item recovey, and retired mailbox archival
