IT distributor Tech Data Corporation has partnered with SquareTrade, an industry protection plan provider, to make SquareTrade available to its more than 60,000 resellers in the United States. Tech Data is currently the only distributor in the IT channel offering SquareTrade, according to the distributor. The partnership makes SquareTrade protection plans immediately available for tablets, TVs and projectors, laptops and desktops, printers and scanners, cameras and camcorders, MP3 players, and monitors.

SquareTrade’s protection plans through Tech Data cover all mechanical and electrical failures from normal use, including 100 percent of the cost of parts and labor with no deductibles across all product lines. Already available to consumers at Amazon, Costco, Sam’s Club, TigerDirect, Toshiba, Vizio, eBay, QVC, and more, SquareTrade offers 24/7 customer support and a five-day or less service guarantee.
Solution providers who choose to purchase a SquareTrade three-year protection plan will receive extended coverage from date of purchase for TVs and projectors, laptops and desktops, printers and scanners, cameras and camcorders, MP3 players, and monitors. The tablet protection plan includes drops and spills coverage for two years from date of purchase.
