The 4u2grow annual conference sponsored by Marketopia, a marketing and lead-generation company, is taking place this week at the Sandpearl Resort, Clearwater, Fla., running September 12 to 14.
This three-day event offers training sessions, workshops, and discussion panels to help channel pros grow their business. The conference aims to provide actionable strategies for increasing sales, improving client retention, building a strong brand, boosting lead generation, and closing more deals, in addition to offering peer networking opportunities.
On Wednesday, the conference opened with vendor sessions and a welcome reception.
On Thursday, Terry Hedden (pictured above), CEO of Marketopia, opened the main-day event with a session on turning dreams into realities. Throughout the rest of the day, Marketopia executives delivered presentations on topics that included creating a website that delivers, SEO, social media, prospecting, direct mail vs. email, leveraging vendor partners, and closing more deals. In the afternoon there was a workshop on building a marketing plan. The day ended with a dinner cruise.
Tomorrow David Powell, general manager, service provider business, LogicMonitor, a SaaS-based performance monitoring platform provider in Santa Barbara, Calif., will speak about getting bigger clients with large RMR; and Jay McBain, principal analyst, global channels, Forrester Research, will present on trends in the channel.
Those presentations will be followed by sessions from Marketopia executives on increasing client loyalty and profit, successful sales processes, and hiring salespeople. Closing remarks will be delivered by Hedden on turning ideas into action.
