An Event Built for MSPs
The MSP Summit at Channel Partners 2025 is in full swing, bringing together a vibrant community of MSPs, solution providers, and technology vendors. The event is at The Venetian in Las Vegas from March 24-27 and is co-located with the Channel Partners event. As a media partner and industry observer, I’m here to experience it firsthand. And I’m feeling the energy, insights, and innovation that’s driving the managed services space forward.
With the IT channel undergoing rapid transformation, this gathering allows MSPs to explore new strategies. They also can connect with top vendors and gain actionable insights that will fuel their business growth.
The MSP Summit kicked off with a welcome from Informa Events Strategy Leader Kelly Danziger and Robert DeMarzo, vice president, content, Informa Connect channel events. The theme of the MSP Summit is “Channel Forward.” The goal is for channel professionals to become thought leaders and move their businesses forward.
Optimism and Growth in the MSP Space
Walking through the event, there’s a palpable sense of optimism in the air. MSPs are here not just to learn. Rather, they’re seeking to strategize for future success in an industry that’s evolving with new opportunities. Despite economic uncertainties and ongoing cybersecurity threats, channel pros are more resilient than ever. They’re ready to adapt to market demands with agility and innovation.
This year’s event reflects the high-growth trajectory of managed services, with discussions centered around automation, AI, cybersecurity, and customer experience. These are critical areas where MSPs can differentiate themselves and drive profitability.
Key Themes and Insights from Expert Speakers
The MSP Summit agenda is packed with expert-led sessions addressing some of the most pressing topics in the industry. Some standout themes include:
- The AI Revolution for MSPs: How AI-driven automation is reshaping service delivery
Canalys’ Jay McBain shares industry insights with MSPs.
- Cybersecurity and Compliance: The evolving threat landscape and how MSPs can stay ahead
- Recurring Revenue Growth: Strategies for scaling a profitable MSP business
- The Future of MSP Partnerships: Maximizing vendor relationships and partner programs
Jay McBain of Canalys, part of Omdia, noted in his remarks that managed services revenue currently totals more than $600 billion, heading towards a cool $1 trillion in the next year plus. And AI needs to be part of that for MSPs today, as Channel Futures reported:
“There’s no DeLorean needed here for time travel,” McBain told the audience, referencing the classic Back to the Future movie franchise. “We’re in the early moments of what will be a $7 trillion buildout.”
Throughout the event, more industry thought leaders are sharing real-world strategies that MSPs can take home and implement immediately.
A Who’s Who of IT Vendors and Innovators
One of the highlights of MSP Summit 2025 is the incredible lineup of sponsors and exhibitors. The expo hall features some of the biggest names in IT solutions for MSPs. From cybersecurity powerhouses to cloud service providers and automation tools, these companies are showcasing cutting-edge technology that helps MSPs enhance efficiency, secure their clients, and drive revenue growth.
ConnectWise CEO Manny Rivelo was among the featured speakers. He noted that ConnectWise expects roughly 10% annual growth in the MSP market for the foreseeable future.
Attendees also are getting hands-on experience with the latest tools, learning about new partner programs, and engaging in valuable conversations with vendors that could shape their business strategies for the coming year.
Networking and Community: The Real Value of In-person Events
Beyond the sessions and exhibitor floor, the real magic of MSP Summit happens in the hallways, networking lounges, and special events. Whether it’s an impromptu conversation over coffee or a structured networking session, MSPs are leveraging this event to build meaningful relationships with peers, industry leaders, and potential business partners.
Tennessee-based MSP Frank Rich from Keystone Solutions told me he has been to many of these events over the years. What brings him back? “Making connections.” And that is at the heart of the event, the entire channel, and the event’s theme of Channel Forward.
With so much change in the IT landscape, there’s immense value in face-to-face discussions, sharing experiences, and learning from others in the channel.
Why Events Like MSP Summit Matter
As the MSP community navigates new challenges and opportunities, events like MSP Summit 2025 play a crucial role in shaping the future of the industry. From insightful sessions to high-impact networking, this gathering reinforces why the IT channel remains one of the most dynamic and exciting sectors to be a part of.
