New Blackpoint Cyber Partner Program Empowers MSPs to Dominate SMB Cybersecurity with Exclusive Tools, Training, and Community Support

Blackpoint Cyber launches its partner program and enablement platform for MSPs. See how it can help fuel growth in the competitive landscape.

Blackpoint Cyber introduced its first global partner program and enablement platform to support MSPs as they navigate cybersecurity. The program, developed with input from Blackpoint’s partner advisory council, addresses the needs of MSPs that serve small and midsized businesses (SMBs).

The new comprehensive partner program and enablement platform are aimed at driving a successful Q4 for partners while fueling sustained growth into 2025 and beyond. As cybersecurity threats grow more sophisticated, MSPs face increasing pressure to provide reliable protection for their clients. The Blackpoint Global Partner Program empowers partners to achieve both security excellence and business growth.

Blackpoint Cyber Founder and CEO Jon Murchison views this initiative as an opportunity to foster growth, simplify cybersecurity operations, and deepen community connections among MSPs. The program’s features span educational resources, streamlined technology integrations, and growth-oriented tools. With these, the company aims to enable MSPs to enhance their service offerings while building their businesses effectively.

Murchison and Chief Client Officer Mike Estep sat down with ChannelPro to discuss how the program can make a difference for MSPs.

MSP Support through Growing Pains

For MSPs, the challenge of balancing everyday tasks with long-term strategic growth is often daunting, Murchison noted. They frequently are stretched thin, covering both technical and business responsibilities. “When you’re at a certain size, you’re working on the business, in the business, and you’re wearing 10 hats. I still remember in the early days, when I was putting furniture together. But hey, that’s what it takes to win.”

Blackpoint Cyber’s new program eases these pressures, allowing MSPs to focus on critical growth areas, Murchison said. Key benefits of the program include:

  • Early access to new products, quarterly roadmap sessions, and post-incident remediation support
  • In-office sales training, leadership sponsorship, and SOC Concierge services for top-tier partners
  • Dedicated account management, on-demand sales training, and Blackpoint-sourced leads for high-performing partners
  • Co-produced client testimonials, brand usage support, and eligibility for marketing development funds.

“With this program, we’re trying to No. 1, educate, and No. 2, inspire folks to get a different perspective — to look down their business from more of a bird’s-eye view,” Murchison explained. “Start making decisions as the owner/operator because it’ll be better for their employees and for the value of the business.”

A Tiered Partner Program for Growth and Simplified Operations

Blackpoint Cyber’s partner program offers four tiers, catering to MSPs at various stages of growth. The goal is to help partners stand out in a competitive field. “We wanted to figure out a way to help our partners grow their businesses. MSPs struggle to differentiate, so we wanted to try to use Blackpoint as a way for our partners to say we’re different than the rest of the market,” shared Estep, who has more than three decades of experience in the channel.

The program provides essential resources like Blackpoint University, which offers technical and business training to MSPs. The education platform — geared towards SMB-focused MSPs — provides resources and tools that simplify business operations. It helps reduce time spent piecing together solutions and boosts their market positioning.

Blackpoint Enhanced Cybersecurity for Threat Busting

In addition to business support, the program’s core is its robust cybersecurity framework. Blackpoint has refined this from years of experience in “offensive cyber,” Murchison emphasized.

The company’s expertise includes managed detection and response (MDR) for on-premises and cloud environments, application control, dark web scanning, and exposure management, along with a full threat intelligence reverse-engineering team. With sophisticated detection and response capabilities, the platform enables MSPs to manage complex cybersecurity threats that have escalated due to widespread cloud adoption and automation technologies.

One of the unique aspects of Blackpoint’s cybersecurity approach is its patented lateral movement detection, which protects against unauthorized access and data breaches — two major risks for SMBs with limited cybersecurity budgets. “For every one on-premise attack, we’re saving 16 cloud accounts, and 20% of every cloud tenant we bring on has a business e-mail compromise they don’t know about right now. That’s the stake,” Murchison revealed. “That, if anything, should force folks to triple down on protecting their infrastructure.”

Building a Stronger Partner Community

Blackpoint Cyber sees the MSP community as a central pillar of its partner program. Estep highlighted that the MSP industry has always been about relationships and community, something the new partner program seeks to strengthen. Estep, who spent years as an MSP, said he considers the relationship-building part of the business as an “everyday evolution,” especially in cybersecurity.

“The MSP community has done a very good job over the last five years of realizing that competition isn’t quite competition. Community is driven by every caring business owner trying to figure out how to take care of other people, their clients, and their vendors,” he said. “Your odds of a cyberattack are bigger than the building burning down, so you need to trust the people you’re doing business with.”

Blackpoint Cyber’s new partner program also offers peer group support, events, and training resources, creating an environment where MSPs can learn from each other and larger MSPs. “This is maturing; everyone’s got to upskill and there needs to be tools out there. It should be a good community where we can share experiences,” said Murchison.

Simplified Integrations and Flexible Solutions for All MSP Sizes

Designed to accommodate MSPs of various sizes, Blackpoint Cyber’s partner program simplifies integration with existing systems. With compatibility across major ERPs, ConnectWise, and Zendesk, the solution integrates quickly and efficiently. “Integrating our 365 product is a few minutes,” Murchison shared.

For MSPs concerned that Blackpoint’s scale might focus on larger organizations, Estep assured that the company remains committed to MSPs of all sizes, including those serving SMBs. “Most MSPs struggle with this belief that vendors look at size and it’s this huge decision matrix. But it’s just not,” Estep explained. Sometimes it’s more fun to work with a five-user MSP because you can literally change their lives in increments and see the benefit.”

How Blackpoint is Changing the Cyber Services Game

Blackpoint Cyber’s new global partner program is a game-changer for MSPs, offering a comprehensive blend of technical, business, and community support. Through the program’s resources, MSPs can enhance their cybersecurity services and build a thriving business backed by a supportive network. With Blackpoint’s expertise and commitment to the MSP community, even the smallest providers can tap into world-class security solutions. This protects and positions their clients — and their businesses — for growth in a competitive landscape.
