Face-to-face meetings were a big highlight for organizers and attendees alike at the three-day Zero Trust World 2024 conference in Orlando.
The event from Feb. 26-28 at the Caribe Royal Hotel and Conference Center was a pivotal gathering for professionals in the managed services provider (MSP) space, offering invaluable resources, insights into cybersecurity practices, risk management strategies, and innovative solutions to protect digital assets in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
Adam Reid, serving as the master of ceremonies, inaugurated the event on Feb. 26 with a warm welcome to the international attendees. The opening day featured a vendor show floor alongside breakfast, setting the stage for a day filled with learning and networking.
Reid emphasized the overarching theme of the event: risk. He articulated the critical role of ThreatLocker in defending against cyber threats, spotlighting the staggering average $4.5 million cost of a data breach. His discourse underscored the essence of the gathering: to equip organizations with the necessary tools and knowledge to safeguard their customers.
ZTW24 Highlights
Zero Trust World is structured to offer a comprehensive learning experience through educational sessions and interactive discussions on topics including how to defend against cyber threats effectively, strategies for protecting Mac systems, and a plethora of other subjects tailored to bolster cybersecurity defenses. Each session provided quick, actionable tips, ensuring participants can immediately apply learned strategies to enhance their cybersecurity posture.
In addition, ThreatLocker CEO and Co-Founder Danny Jenkins shared a compelling narrative that shed light on his company’s inception. He recounted his experience assisting an insurance company hit by a cyberattack, where traditional decryption tools failed.
After getting the company back up and running, he suggested some changes to help protect the company from such future attacks. However, the customer told him as a small businesses, he could not afford the costly changes. This realization is what birthed ThreatLocker, underpinned by the mission to make top-tier cybersecurity solutions accessible and affordable for businesses of all sizes.
Valuable Feedback from Customers
Beyond the valuable discussions, hacking labs, demonstrations, and meetings on the expo floor, the opportunity to meet and talk with customers was a highlight for ThreatLocker Chief Product Officer Rob Allen.
Allen, who spoke with ChannelPro during ZTW24, said this was an opportunity to not only make connections with people he had only seen through a Zoom screen, but to gain important feedback from them.
“Listening to MSPs suggestions on how could we do better or how can we help them protect themselves is so important because it’s incredibly valuable. These things are not always something that somebody will say to you on Zoom, but if you talk to somebody face to face, sit down and just have a human conversation with them, very often you can get insights for them that are incredibly valuable.”
ZTW24 allowed MSPs to delve into the world of zero trust security, equipping themselves with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of today’s cyber threat landscape, enhancing their ability to protect their customers in an increasingly digital world.
