The ChannelPro Network has named Paco Lebron (pictured), CEO and founder of ProdigyTeks, the winner of its 2023 Peer of the Year award, which recognizes channel pros who have shared especially powerful peer-to-peer business advice.
Each month during the calendar year, ChannelPro invites a successful MSP, value-added reseller, or solution provider to share his or her story in the Peer to Peer feature that runs in the digital and print issues of ChannelPro magazine. The column provides actionable advice on topics such as setting and meeting goals, improving operations and service delivery, hiring and retaining skilled staff, building sales and marketing strategies, staying ahead of trends, and more.
All 12 stories in 2022 were considered for the award by the publication’s editors, who selected the one they believe readers could learn the most from and immediately apply to their own business. Lebron’s story detailed how he made a strategic move to pause sales and focus on creating a better customer and tech experience to drive more sustainable growth with standardization and automation.
“Paco’s story in our September 2022 issue describes how ProdigyTeks rapidly scaled from a one-person to a seven-person operation, and consequently had to rethink how to make the service delivery process more seamless for the customer and more efficient for the technicians,” says Rich Freeman, executive editor of The ChannelPro Network. “His story walks the reader through how ProdigyTeks made the bold move to pause sales and break apart their processes to create and document new policies and procedures, consolidate tools, and automate whatever they could.”
Lebron founded ProdigyTeks, based in the West Loop of Chicago, in February 2013. Today he guides a dedicated team of leaders and experts to support his mission of providing underserved small businesses with high-quality service and support so they can increase revenue, reduce costs, and expand within their respective market share. Lebron is also co-founder of TechCon Unplugged, a dedicated national multiday summit for IT industry leaders, small businesses, and, and co-hosts the MSP Unplugged weekly podcast.
As a business and community leader, Lebron is an exemplary role model. He joined the Humboldt Park Health Hospital’s Foundation as a board trustee in 2022 in their efforts to advanced health equity to the community. Negocios Now recognized him as a Who’s Who in Hispanic Business in 2022 for his leadership in the information technology industry and community. Lebron also serves as a board member at-large on the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement Advisory Council.
“It’s a true honor to be awarded the Peer of the Year award by this great publication,” says Lebron. “I hope my story helps those starting their journey to grow and succeed in this industry.”
