The IoT Security Services Association (IoTSSA) Cybersecurity Expo Live is taking place this week in Charlotte, N.C., at the Marriott UNC, with educational sessions geared to keep the IT channel at the forefront of cybersecurity.
Yesterday, attendees heard Brad Gross, technology legal expert, lead a session focusing on strategies IT service providers can implement to eliminate legal liability in cybersecurity offerings.
MJ Shoer, SVP and executive director of CompTIA ISAO, led a panel discussion on cybersecurity war stories and how the CompTIA ISAO is helping the industry enhance its collective ability to fight back.
The first day of the expo ended with an evening reception.
Today, Ryan Morris (pictured above), principal consultant for Morris Management Partners and MC of the event, kicked off the day, followed by Lisa Person, director of member recruitment and engagement for CompTIA, who provided updates from the industry organization and talked about how CompTIA can help service providers adopt a cybersecurity framework.
Topic presentations throughout the day include cybersecurity best practices, digital transformation, zero trust, marketing and managing the human side of cybersecurity, cyber resilience, managing risk, an integrated approach to cybersecurity and data protection, security awareness training, and how hackers get in.
In addition, a cybersecurity expert panel of senior executives from ADT Cybersecurity, Dark Cubed, Liongard, and Password Boss discuss threats facing MSPs and MSP vendors and how that impacts their business and their customers.
The day ends with a happy hour booth crawl, followed by prizes, dinner, and entertainment.
