DON’T LET THE VOIP PLATFORM fool you. RingLogix‘s CEO and product architect Albert Diaz (pictured) stresses that his company, launched in 2018, is a software developer for MSPs. And what MSPs need to grow profits and boost their valuation, according to Diaz, is the ability to easily control the packaging, pricing, sales, installation, billing, and customer support of whatever solution they provide.
That’s why he developed RingOS as a white-label offering. “”A white-label product is better for your business [and] is healthier for you because you get to control the revenue,”” says Diaz, who has 20-plus years’ experience in telecom sales and operations. Rather than making 15% commission as a reseller, MSPs can achieve upwards of 70% margins with white labeling, he notes.
In addition, Diaz designed the RingOS platform from the ground up to be an easy-to-use, single-pane-of-glass solution for selling and managing VoIP/UCaaS for SMBs. Since it was “”built by a sales guy for sales guys,”” MSPs can get up and running quickly. “”Basically you go from quote to bill status in about 90 seconds or less,”” he says. Plus, “”You schedule the install when you want to do it. So you’re not at someone else’s mercy, [and] you have access to support.””
The automated billing system also calculates the telecom taxes, removing the hurdle that makes some MSPs hesitant to white label VoIP.
The RingLogix offering includes SIP trunking, hosted PBX, hosted call center, and UCaaS, and since it’s hardware agnostic SMBs can use their existing phones. Diaz says he initially focused on client-facing integrations with CRMs and call center solutions, but the next phase of the roadmap is partner-facing integrations, starting with ConnectWise in the last quarter of the year. He also expects to launch an integrations marketplace in that same time frame.
“”Today we are a software house that is heavily focused on unified communications or telecom,”” he says. “”In the future, we … intend to be a software house that’s heavily focused on MSP tools, telecom being one of them.””
