Datto Inc. has shipped a rebuilt integration between its RMM platform and ConnectWise’s PSA solution.
In addition to reliability and speed improvements, the updated edition enables users of Datto RMM and ConnectWise Manage to switch across systems with a single click, reducing the time required to assess and remediate customer issues.
“We believe our MSP partners must have the flexibility to leverage the tools that are right for them, and not be limited by vendor,” said Emily Glass, Datto’s chief product officer, in a press statement. “This fosters the type of innovation the industry needs to thrive and enables our partners to make the best technology choices for their business.”
Datto and ConnectWise compete head to head in both the RMM and PSA markets. Both companies have expressed strong support for open integrations across platforms in recent years anyway, as have leading competitors like Kaseya.
“We’ve been listening to partner feedback and have delivered an RMM-PSA integration that creates a seamless and audited workflow for resolving IT issues,” said Ian van Reenen, vice president of engineering at Datto, in prepared remarks. “Our improved integration with ConnectWise will remove inefficiencies and allow engineers to focus on getting the job done faster and more effectively.”
Datto officially changed the name of the solution formerly known as Autotask Endpoint Management to Datto RMM at its 2018 DattoCon partner event last June.
The company introduced a program designed to help other vendors integrate their products with its BDR, RMM, PSA, and networking solutions and then promote those tie-ins more easily last week.
