PlanetOne Communications,†the IT and Telecom industry’s preferred connectivity partner, is pleased to announce†Bernadette “Bern” Richardson†has joined the company as vice president of marketing.

In this new company role, Bern reports directly to PlanetOne’s President Lauren Shapiro and spearheads the firm’s internal and external marketing, which includes managing its creative agency, public relations firm and social media team. She is also responsible for the execution of PlanetOne’s digital marketing, partner marketing, and content creation, and will play an active role in event planning and promotion.

Bern joins PlanetOne with more than 25 years of experience in business management excellence, including 10 years within the telecommunications industry as an entrepreneur. A successful strategist with a defined expertise in business development for multi-million dollar market leaders including Coca-Cola, as well as management services, operational efficiency, sales and technology solutions, Bern spent the past six years working for Public Safety Network deploying significant wireless infrastructure public safety initiatives for the State of California’s 9-1-1 Office of Emergency Services. She has an MBA in marketing and graduated with honors from Pepperdine University, received a bachelor degree in pre-law from the University of California Santa Barbara and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
