Savvius, Inc., the leader in network continuity, announced that Colin Boone has been named Senior Director of Sales, Americas. Boone was most recently Microsoft’s Senior Director of Health and Life Science for Medium Business. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving all of Savvius’s sales activities in the Americas.
“We’re thrilled to have a person of Colin’s caliber and accomplishments join the Savvius team. This is clear validation of the opportunity we’re seeing,” said Patrick Johnston, VP Worldwide Sales at Savvius. “With sales momentum building through our new Savvius PartnerONE channel program, it’s an ideal time for a sales leader like Colin to accelerate our growth through our new go-to-market strategy. Colin’s successful tenure with Microsoft, where his teams delivered data center and cloud solutions through a broad partner ecosystem, uniquely positions him to execute on our business strategy in the Americas.”
“Over the years, Savvius has set the standard for network continuity solutions, and the company continues to raise the bar with new real-time visibility tools like Spotlight. As a long-established company acting like a startup, Savvius brings a fresh, disruptive factor to the network performance monitoring and diagnostics (NPMD) market,” said Boone. “I’m excited to join Savvius and help drive the company to the next level of success.”†
Boone brings a broad range of experience to his new position at Savvius including global sales and business development roles at both startups and large enterprise organizations. In his previous position at Microsoft, he more than doubled the Small and Medium Healthcare Life and Sciences business in four years. Prior to that, Boone led regional and area sales teams at Microsoft, as well as holding product management and marketing roles within various business groups. Before Microsoft, he worked at IBM, Centigram, and several startups where he held leadership sales and business development roles in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.†
