A new strategic alliance between Collabrance LLC and Service Leadership Inc. will deliver managed IT benchmarking, coaching, and best practices to Collabrance dealers and partners worldwide in a peer group setting.
Plano, Texas-based Service Leadership is a noted IT business transformation consultancy and publisher of the Service Leadership Index benchmark. Collabrance LLC is a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based leading Master MSP and subsidiary of GreatAmerica Financial Services. Through this alliance, the Collabrance managed service provider partner success program now includes the option of joining a quarterly Collabrance IT peer group, hosted by Collabrance, with best practices and industry leading benchmarking provided by Service Leadership.
Collabrance partners include copier-printer companies moving into managed services, and managed service providers who are looking to scale without having to make the investment themselves.
Service Leadership is “going to be providing a peer group, so a classroom-type setting where noncompeting Collabrance partners get together, all discussing the same issues that are important to them,” says Jim Hocking, director of sales at Collabrance. “What we found over the last couple years is that there’s a big demand for that type of setting for our partners. They want to talk to other partners that are selling Collabrance. They want to figure out how they’re [can be] successful and what that financial model should look like for a partner model versus building it on your own. Paul [Dippell, CEO of Service Leadership,] is one of the best at that, so he’s going to provide a lot of that education based around the Collabrance model on how to be profitable through that.”
“We have a strong relationship with GreatAmerica and are excited to work with its Collabrance operation,” said Paul Dippell, CEO of Service Leadership, in a press statement. “Through our strategic alliance, Collabrance partners will be able to better assess their starting point in managed services, compare themselves against the industry’s most accurate benchmark, identify areas of benefit and risk, take the most effective actions and objectively measure progress over time.”
Hocking says the first peer group meeting will be in April in Dallas, with 10 copier print partner companies. Later in the year there will be a similar peer group meeting for MSP partners.
