Zyxel Enhances Channel Program to Increase Partner Profitability

The Freedom Program now features larger discounts for deal registrations, increases margins, and adds cost-based, not-for-resale product discounts.

Zyxel Communications, an Anaheim, Calif.-based provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access, and connected home products, has enhanced its Freedom Program to make it more profitable for value-added resellers to sell Zyxel’s family of enterprise-class networking products and solutions.

Zyxel’s two-tiered Freedom Program, which includes the basic “Advocate” and the premium “Ally” tiers, is free and does not require certifications. Enhanced benefits of the Freedom Program include:

  • Deal registration: Reseller partners now receive larger discounts for deal registrations.
  • NFR product discounts: Resellers now receive discounts of up to 50 percent on not-for-resale products.
  • Freedom Margin Booster: Specific Zyxel products, listed at zyxel.us/freedomprogramv2, are now eligible for double the margin for Advocate-level resellers and triple the margin for resellers in the Ally tier.

According to Matt Dargis, vice president at Zyxel, the company has shifted its focus from product sales to becoming a networking ally to partners. That means not only providing them with solutions to solve customers’ challenges, he says, but contributing to their financial success as well. “The additional discounts and margin boosters that we’re adding to the Freedom Program is designed to do just that and provides our channel partners with quality, reliable, high-performance solutions that enable them to maximize their profit potential,” he adds.

The Advocate level of the program offers free product webinars and technical training, limited lifetime warranty on specific product families, free technical support, FREEDOM 2x Margin Booster, deal registration, meet-or-beat competitor pricing, and NFR product discounts.

Partners who sell $10,000 or make four transactions per quarter qualify for the Ally level, giving them the following in addition to Advocate-level benefits: 24/7 technical support, FREEDOM 3x Margin Booster, lead referral, sales engineer access, and advanced RMA replacement.
