According to the company, the new Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter can support two uncompressed 4K 60HZ (4096 x 2160) monitors,†nearly 16 million more pixels than an HDTV, and does not lose video quality by splitting one DisplayPort 1.2 video stream or using lossy compression algorithms. The adapter is Thunderbolt 3 port powered, removing the need for AC adapters or Y-cables.
