Ingram Micro Inc. has introduced a new “Electronic Payments Playbook” and multi-vendor solution bundle to help simplify EMV (Europay, Mastercard, and Visa) compliance for retailers and businesses of all types by providing channel partners with the resources and technology needed to address the October 2015 EMV payment standard, also known as “chip and pin.”
The global EMV payment standard requires all retailers and other businesses that accept credit and debit cards to become compliant by Oct. 15, 2015. Failure to comply with the mandate will leave businesses open to liability in the event of fraud and potentially face financial losses.
