On the second day of Tech Data Corp.’s annual Systems and Peripherals (S&P) Partner Conference at the Lowes Don CeSar Hotel in St. Pete Beach, Fla., Wendy Linsky, the distributor’s vice president of marketing, got things started by encouraging the 120 VAR attendees to “engage, explore, and experience.” She also encouraged them to take advantage of the business-building sessions and interact with the 60-plus vendors at the event, which runs from August 19 to 21.
The conference enables S&P VARs to network with their peers and learn from speakers such as keynoter Joe Theismann, former quarterback for the Washington Redskins and current sportscaster with ESPN; Chris Frey, Lenovo’s channel chief and vice president North America; and many other industry luminaries, including some familiar faces from Tech Data’s executive leadership, including Joe Quaglia, president, the Americas; Pete Peterson, senior vice president, U.S. Sales; and Greg Banning, vice president, SMB Sales.
