Following up its recent entry into the education market, cloud server provider Infinitely Virtual has rolled out a series of high-end hosting options targeted at academic institutions, from pre-K through the graduate and post-graduate levels.
The company’s Virtual Terminal Server—Premium (EDU) Plan is the second of what will eventually be four academic market offerings from Infinitely Virtual. Under the plan, users can access applications and data from anywhere in the world—an ideal solution for those who need to tap into centralized resources from home, campus, or another remote location.
The Virtual Terminal Server—Premium (EDU) Plan supports most Windows applications. The plan consists of five tiers: Gold, Platinum, Platinum+, Diamond, and Diamond+, with pricing at $8.53 per user/month. At the Gold level, the package includes 2 cores, 1 GB of RAM, and 20 GB of storage; at the top end, the Diamond+ level, that scales to 8 cores, 8 GB of RAM, and 60 GB of storage.
“At every level, this truly is a complete solution,” says Adam Stern, CEO, Infinitely Virtual. “Our plan combines the security and control of redundant Active Directory controllers, the file sharing simplicity of a fileserver and SharePoint server, with our Virtual Terminal Server—and our engineers can get users up and running in less than a day.”
Infinitely Virtual offers users a choice of hosting their servers in Los Angeles or Boston. For additional information, visit www.infinitelyvirtual.com.
