Colorado Springs, Colo.-based storage provider X-IO Technologies has entered into a distribution agreement with Santa Ana, Calif.-based Ingram Micro Inc., enabling Ingram’s network of resellers to provide X-IO’s Intelligent Storage Element (ISE) technology to businesses across the U.S.
The agreement benefits resellers specializing in delivering desktop and server virtualization, transactional processing, big data, and cloud service solutions to customers in need of high-performance storage solutions. According to X-IO, the cost per TB, watt per TB, and total cost of ownership offered by its solutions make it a good fit for data center providers. The company also says the solution manages data growth, reduces long-term costs, and simplifies infrastructure management.
“Demand for hybrid data storage solutions that reduce costs, scale, and offer great performance is growing at a steady clip, and presents a lucrative sales and service opportunity for our channel partners,” says Scott Zahl, general manager and vice president, Advanced Computing Division, Ingram Micro U.S. “X-IO has the solutions and expertise to support our partners as they extend their solutions in virtualization, business intelligence, and accelerating transactional processes.” Zahl also notes that Ingram will leverage its Advanced Computing Division to meet X-IO’s channel development and technical support needs.
