Avnet Technology Solutions has introduced the first in a series of application-specific solutions optimized for the HP ConvergedSystem portfolio, which consists of integrated IT systems purpose-built for key workloads like virtualization, hosted desktops, and big data. Avnet will now offer solution providers and VAR partners in the U.S. and Canada two solutions for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments. These solutions provide partners with building blocks for complete IT solutions that they can deploy to assist their customers in overcoming their business challenges related to messaging and mobility.
The Avnet Exchange Server 2013 solution for HP ConvergedSystem includes an integrated architecture that partners can use to deploy large messaging mailboxes for their customers, using less space and energy. It is pre-sized, configured, and optimized to operate on HP ConvergedSystem, but can be customized to meet the unique needs of end customers.
Similarly based on a building block approach, Avnet’s new VDI solution for HP ConvergedSystem gives partners an appliance-like configuration that removes the guesswork from sizing and deploying virtual desktop solutions. It allows partners to create efficient, performance-optimized solutions for client-virtualized workloads running on HP ConvergedSystem. It covers architectural design, sizing, performance, and configuration instructions, enabling partners to provide their customers with predictable, repeatable performance and costs for their VDI environment.
